A saree that changes character with every fold, this Multicolor Kanchivaram Silk Saree is woven in a shot-silk technique that shifts between grey, magenta, and red as the light catches it — giving the fabric a living, luminous quality rarely found in flat single-tone weaves.

Scattered diagonally across this shifting base are clusters of floral motifs, some woven in gleaming silver and others in warm gold, forming a scattered bouquet effect that feels organic rather than repetitive. The border is a vivid red, finished with a scalloped temple edge and a dense gold zari band featuring an intricate peacock and floral arch motif — a design detail that lends the saree real presence at the hem. The pallu opens into a broad orange-red panel with a fine diamond lattice weave in gold zari, echoing the same peacock arch motif near the top for a cohesive, richly layered finish.

This saree showcases a shot-silk weaving technique, where the warp and weft are woven in different colors so the fabric shifts between grey, magenta, and red depending on the light and angle of view. Scattered across this shifting base are floral clusters woven in both silver and gold zari, adding depth and dimension. The red border is finished with a scalloped temple edge and a dense peacock arch motif in gold zari, while the pallu continues this vocabulary with a diamond lattice weave and matching border — reflecting the meticulous handloom technique Kanchivaram sarees are known for.

Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu — the historic silk-weaving town renowned for centuries-old Kanchivaram handloom traditions, passed down through generations of master weavers.
