Kota is woven in Rajasthan on the khat, the small square check that gives the fabric its airy, almost weightless drape. It is the coolest saree in the house to wear in summer and the easiest to carry for a long function.

This edit includes Kota cotton with silver and gold zari, Kota silk, and double-tissue pure zari Kota for festive evenings. The product page for each saree states whether it is cotton, silk or zari tissue.

    Questions before you choose

What is the difference between Kota doria and zari Kota?

Kota doria is the base weave with its square khat checks. Zari Kota adds metallic zari, from fine borders to a full double-tissue body.

    Is Kota see-through?

It is sheer by design. Pair it with an underskirt in the body colour for an even drape.

Are your silk Kota sarees Silk Mark certified?

Yes, our silk Kota sarees carry the Silk Mark. Kota cotton sarees are described as cotton on their product pages.
