Patra means “leaf” in Sanskrit.
For this collection, real leaves and petals are laid directly onto handwoven Kanjivaram silk, and their natural colours are slow-dyed into the fabric. No two leaves fall the same way, so no two sarees are ever alike. Each Patra saree carries its own small garden, held in pure Kanchipuram silk.
Quiet, light and made for daytime, these are Kanjivarams for the moments that don’t need gold to shine.
