This multi-colour checked weave is among the most technically complex body patterns in Kanchipuram weaving, requiring individual colour threads to be managed simultaneously on the loom. The deep navy blue pallu and border deliver a striking anchor to all that pastel softness, woven with dense gold zari stripe running lines and a wide band of classical temple and floral motifs with a crown edge finish.
