Soft and sun-warmed, this Peach Organza Saree carries small floral butis scattered across the body — tiny daisies and blossom sprigs embroidered in tonal peach and coral thread, spaced to keep the sheer ground open and light.
The border builds the detail: full daisy clusters with fine leaf sprigs run along the edge, framed by rows of coral zigzag and running-stitch lines and punctuated with small rectangular mirrors set in thread. The whole length is finished with a delicate peach crochet lace trim in a scalloped picot pattern. The unstitched blouse piece is in matching peach, worked with a flowing leaf creeper in coral and peach thread with mirror accents and the same lace edging.
Saree Length: 5.5meters
Blouse Piece Length: 0.8 meters
Recommended Care: Dry clean only
This saree layers three techniques along a single edge. Tonal thread embroidery carries the floral motif — light and scattered across the body, dense and clustered at the border. Small mirrors are set into the border in the abhla tradition, each held in place by a worked thread frame rather than glue, so they sit flush and catch light against the sheer ground. A crochet lace trim in matching peach closes the edge with a fine picot scallop, giving the drape a soft, finished fall.
This saree is crafted in Surat, Gujarat — India's largest centre for fine sheer weaves and the country's hub for organza production, thread embroidery and hand-finished trims. Gujarat also holds a long tradition of abhla bharat, or mirror work, and the karigars here bring that inherited skill to contemporary embroidered sarees.
