A Home for the Kanjivaram

A Chettinad-inspired house of pillared halls, carved wood and soft light, where every saree is met by hand, and every guest is family.

Welcome

Less a store, more a home

Our Experience Centre in Bangalore was imagined as a place to slow down: to sit, to take your time, and to meet the Kanjivaram the way it was always meant to be met, by hand and in good light.

Every room was planned around the sarees, and every detail around the women who come to choose them.

Come in, sit with us, and stay a while.

The Silks

Silk, unrolled by hand

Our sarees are kept on wooden rolls, so that every one can be opened before you, fold by fold, until the zari catches the light.

The Inspiration

A Chettinad home, reimagined

The house draws on the colonial grandeur of Chettinad, the merchant mansions of Tamil Nadu known for their pillared halls, carved wood and generous light.

We brought that spirit to Bangalore: carved wooden pillars, white colonnades and arches, heavy heritage doors and quiet rooms that open one into the next.

The Collection

Every piece, a collectable

Not a single piece of furniture here was bought off a shelf. Every chest, cabinet, bench and bracket is a collectable, sought out and brought home one at a time.

Like the old chest guarded by its brass elephants, they now hold our sarees the way they once held a family's heirlooms.

Inside the House

Our Lakshmi

Our Lakshmi painting sits in an arched alcove of white pillars and soft light, and almost every guest stops to ask about her.

Come and meet her, and the sarees she watches over.
