Our Kalamkari Kanjivarams were curated with Lakshmi in mind. Each one begins as a design in our studio and is painted by hand on our own Kanjivaram silk with natural dyes, in the Srikalahasti pen tradition: the eight forms of Lakshmi, a village festival, divine figures beneath temple arches, peacocks drawn freehand. The border and pallu are woven in gold zari on the loom, so the woven gold frames the painted story.
