Rich and richly detailed, this Magenta Kanjivaram Silk Saree opens with a fine gold zari check (kattam) weave across the body, before transitioning into a solid magenta field scattered with small bicolor butis — alternating gold and silver circular medallions and delicate elephant-shaped motifs — giving the fabric a playful, jewel-toned texture.
The border makes a bold statement in dense gold zari — a temple triangle edge opening into a herringbone-chevron trellis, before arriving at a row of large circular floral medallions repeated along the length. The pallu carries the same scattered bicolor butis forward on a solid magenta ground, closing in the matching circular medallion border for a rich, cohesive finish.

This saree showcases a layered Kanjivaram body treatment — a fine gold zari check weave opening into a solid magenta field dotted with alternating gold and silver circular medallions and elephant-shaped butis. The border combines a herringbone-chevron trellis with large repeating circular floral medallions in gold zari, a hallmark of the dense, ornate border weaving distinctive to heirloom Kanjivaram sarees.
Woven by skilled artisans from the Kanchipuram weaving cluster in Tamil Nadu, where traditional check weaving and circular medallion border techniques are passed down through generations, giving each saree its distinct regional craftsmanship.
