Lush and vivid, this Emerald Green Kanchivaram Linen Silk Saree is woven with clusters of meenakari-style floral bunches near the border — blossoms in orange, pink, purple, blue, and yellow, each petal outlined in silver zari for a jewel-toned, enamel-like effect against the rich green ground. Delicate silver leaves and vines trail beneath the flowers, adding depth to the arrangement.
The border transitions into a solid gold zari band, finished with a fine chevron weave along the edge. The pallu makes a striking statement with a row of gold zari elephants in profile, trunks raised, walking in procession across a textured ground, framed by a scalloped edge and a chevron trim. The saree finishes with soft green tassels at the edge for a traditional touch — a rich combination of colorful meenakari floral work and classic Banarasi zari motifs.

Kanchivaram weaving is one of India’s oldest silk traditions. In the Korvai technique, the body is woven in one colour and the border in another, and the two are joined by interlocking the weft threads. This gives a bold contrast where body meets border. The pallu is woven separately and joined in the same way. The buttas, the peacock bands and the pallu are woven in zari on the loom, with careful setting of the warp and weft.wcases a rich combination of techniques — meenakari-style multicolor floral bunches outlined in silver zari near the border, paired with a classic Banarasi gold zari pallu depicting a procession of elephants, finished with tassels.
Kanchipuram is a temple town in Tamil Nadu and the home of Kanchivaram silk. Weaving families there have passed the craft down through generations. The designs draw on temple architecture and nature, including peacocks, medallions, herringbone and lattice patterns.
