Bold and festive, this Crimson Red Kanjivaram Silk Saree is woven with a fine all-over gold zari check (kattam) pattern that gives the body a subtle, structured shimmer against the vivid red base.

The border is where the design truly shines — a deep maroon band opening with a wide gold zari temple (kuyilu) edge, followed by alternating floral medallions and paired bird motifs set in neat repeating panels. The pallu carries the same rich language forward with horizontal gold zari stripes, finishing in the matching temple border with floral-medallion and bird motifs, edged by a fine maroon selvedge.

This saree showcases the classic Kanjivaram tradition of pairing a fine checked (kattam) body weave with a richly worked contrast border. The wide temple border combines the traditional kuyilu zigzag edge with repeating floral medallions and bird motifs, while the pallu extends the same zari vocabulary in bold horizontal stripes — a hallmark of heirloom-style Kanjivaram weaving.

Woven by skilled artisans from the Kanchipuram weaving cluster in Tamil Nadu, where generations-old techniques of silk and zari interlacing are passed down through families, ensuring each saree carries the region's distinct craftsmanship.
