Rich, lustrous, and steeped in artisanal detail, this Rust Orange Double Tissue Pure Zari Kota Saree brings together the sheen of tissue fabric with the fine craftsmanship of Kota weaving. The double tissue construction gives the saree its signature soft glow and structured drape, setting it apart from regular cotton Kota weaves.

The body is densely woven with an intricate vine of multicolor flowers — mauve, orange, pink, and lilac blooms with olive leaves — interspersed with charming perched birds in orange and cream, lending the saree a nature-inspired, painterly quality. A row of dainty silver zari star motifs runs along the upper body for subtle shimmer.

The pallu transitions into a soft cream tone with fine silver pinstripes, bordered by the same floral-and-bird motif band, finished with twin white piping lines for a crisp, tailored edge.

Double tissue is a specialized weaving technique where two sets of fine yarns are interwoven to create a fabric with a subtle sheen, added body, and a slightly stiffer drape than standard Kota cotton. Combined with the traditional Kota Doria square-check base and hand-detailed pure zari work, this technique elevates the saree with a rich, almost brocade-like texture while retaining the lightness Kota weaves are known for.

This saree is woven in the Kota-Kaithoon weaving cluster of Rajasthan, a region with a centuries-old legacy in Kota Doria craftsmanship. Artisan families in this GI-tagged cluster have adapted traditional techniques over generations, including specialized variations like double tissue weaving, to create richer, more festive versions of the classic Kota saree.
